___ yes yes, we're sure you've read rules at other sites before, but it never hurts to do it again! any infraction on the rules listed below will be dealt with as follows: first a verbal warning. if the problem still exists, it will be followed with suspension, the length of which is dependent on the issue at hand. if the problem persists after, you will be banned.

___ 1. this site is rated pg13. that means you must be at least thirteen years old to join. this is not just our rule, but proboards' rule. also, that means face claims must be older than thirteen, characters must be older than thirteen. no sex, explicit drug use, or pornography will be tolerated. if this rule is broken, it will result in an immediate ban from the site. no exceptions.

___ 2. this one is more like a guideline than a rule. please make your username and password something you can remember. though the admin can change your display name, we cannot modify the username or password. that being said, do not modify your username. the admin will do that for you. if you change it, we will change it back.

___ 3. images are encouraged! avatars must be 150x200px, and signatures can be no larger than 500px wide. if the images exceed or do not reach the specifications, they will be removed without warning. if you need help with an image, ask! we love to make them.

___ 4. faceclaims must be a celebrity of some sort. they can be socialites, singers, actors, models. they cannot be anime, drawings, or your friend from myspace. (oh, and if you still have a myspace... shame on you.) basically, if they're on perez hilton or imdb, they are usable.

___ 5. harassment will not be tolerated. leave the bullying to the characters. remember that if you dislike someone else's character, that is no reason to be mean to the writer. if someone is harassing you, let an admin know, pronto. we want this to be a fun environment.

___ 6. greasepaint is a short post, rapid fire site. that means we like to post quickly, to keep things fresh and interesting. that does not mean you're not allowed to post something long! just keep in mind that you may not get a response that matches the length of yours. also, short posts don't mean one sentence. make it at least one good paragraph. oh, and use a spellchecker. there's nothing worse than spelling words incorrectly or using the wrong one. just... just use it.

___ 7. no godmodding. no. no. none. kthxbai.

___ 8. sometimes people die. that goes the same for characters. if you wish to kill a character off, please run the plot idea over with an admin. death of a character can affect every single member on the site. also if you wish to kill off a character, try to keep it a secret (except to the admin). no one knows when someone is going to die.

___ 9. you can have as many characters as you want, provided that you can keep all of them active. if you have ten characters but only play two, delete the other eight. its not fair to hog face claims that potential new members may want to use.

___ 10. if you aren't sure what to pick as a major, check julliard's list. if it's there, you're safe. some examples of majors are drama, music, dance, and film. most more in-depth majors fit in to one of these four categories. any other questions, see an admin.

___ 11. and lastly, stay active. as stated in rule 9, its not fair to hog face claims that potential new members may want to use. you never know when we have an activity check, so if your awol during it, your character may be deleted and the face claim reopened. also, hit and runs are rude. don't just join and never show again.

___ see, the rules weren't so bad, were they? nah. so just follow them and have fun, and there won't be an issue. :)
