my name is jordyn gonzales. i was born into a large family, but am an only child. i just happen to have about a hundred cousins...ok maybe that's exaggerating a bit. but i come from a large, loud family, so it's no wonder i like being the center of attention. i was born and raised in portland, so moving here was a huge culture shock for me. i started dance classes when i was three and just fell in love from there. my two best friends, erika and kendall, and i started a girls band that we are intending to make a sensation someday. we play instruments and can sing, so i guess you'd say we're awesome.
do you like to dance more or sing?
i love both equally since they give me joy in different ways. music is how i express myself, so singing can give me reign to make lyrics my own and take them with however i'm feeling. and dancing lets me move my body and express my emotions outwardly when words won't suffice, be it joy or suffering.
who is more of your best friend, kendall or erika?
are you taking stupid pills? erika and kendall are both my best friends. neither is above the other where that is concerned and if you ask it again, i may have to punch you.
how long have you and the other members of the trio been friends?
erika and i have been best friends since elementary since we're in the same class. we didn't meet kendall until we were in middle school, sixth grade actually since she moved when she was 10, and then we formed the band from there in high school once we were all proficient enough on our instruments and could harmonize better with practice.
why mcoa?
why not? kendall, erika, and i all looked at schools to try and apply to together since we didn't want to be separated. we all applied to the same ones and all of us happened to get in at mcoa together, so this is where we came to.
