If there was one thing that Jordyn Gonzales did well, it was operate under pressure without cracking. Coming from a large Hispanic family gave her that ability since she had more cousins than she could count and family reunions often fell to her mother and herself to plan, even though they were the smallest family unit in the Gonzales clan as she was an only child. As she was now entering her sophomore year of school, she knew it was imperative that she figure out what she wanted to do with her life. She knew that being a part of The Trio was going to be her life for many more years to come because Kendall and Erika were her best and closest friends, but after that, she wasn't so sure. Part of her wanted to become a teacher someday, like Celeste Bennett did, because she liked helping others. But another part of her yearned for the stage in some capacity if she ever decided to break off solo ten or twenty years from now from the group or if they decided to go their separate ways. Sitting in her room of the apartment, she thought about all of those options as she prepared for her first day of classes, which were in the morning. Sighing, she slapped her notebook down and went into the living room to the kitchen to find some food to help her think, opening up the fridge to see what they had.

erika loved new york city. she loved being independent. she didn't love that her family was so far away though. at least she had her girls there. it did make the living without parents thing a little easier. each girl had their chores and they rotated weekly. erika was coming back from the laundromat. she got in the elevator and pushed the button for their floor, before getting of and entering their apartment. once inside, she dropped the laundry on the table and started folding. she made neat piles, jordyn's shirts, kendall's bras, her own underwear. next week was her week to do the grocery shopping. which, when jordyn came in and opened the fridge, she noticed that kendall had not yet done. "no food," she said, folding one of her tank tops up. "kendall hasn't gone shopping yet."

As Jordyn opened the fridge, she jumped as she heard Erika's voice behind her in the living room. Turning around, she saw her best friend folding the laundry and sighed, looking back to the fridge to see that she was right and Kendall had not gone food shopping. "Dammit," she sighed, shutting the fridge and going out to the living room. This week was her own week to do the house dishes on the rotation that they had going since they had moved out to the city from Portland last year. It was something they had started to help keep their apartment running, but sometimes one of them forgot it was their week for something, like Kendall obviously did. Going into the living room, she flopped onto the couch and looked up at Erika while she folded the laundry. "Guess this means we're ordering take-out?" she asked, knowing that it was the next best option since she obviously couldn't cook anything since there was no food to cook. "I want Thai...or Japanese...hell I don't know, you pick." Jordyn was notoriously indecisive when it came to food, so she made Erika chose most of the time if she was between choices.

she picked up a thong, obviously belonging to kendall. since erika and jordyn shared a room and kendall got the single in their two-bedroom apartment, erika basically knew every article of clothing jordyn owned. neither of the two girls currently in the room would wear such a ridiculous piece of clothing, if you could even call it that. it was really more of a skimpy scrap of fabric. "seriously, kendall, what is this." she asked rhetorically, knowing full well kendall wasn't in the room. she was probably at the conservatory, sitting in the dance hall and scouting for boys. it wouldn't surprise erika any. she folded the panty and set it in kendall's pile. "i vote for thai," she said to jordyn, looking up only briefly. lately, it had been harder and harder to look at jordyn. erika always knew there was something different about herself, but it wasn't until she was living without her parents that she really figured out what it was. it scared her a little bit, knowing she had a crush on her best friend. she often wondered if jordyn noticed she would look at her less and less just to hide it. "i want peanut chicken."

As she sat on the couch, she saw Erika pick up one of the pieces of clothing from the pile and almost laughed out loud as she realized what it was. Jordyn wouldn't be caught dead in one of those things because it was like having your underwear up your butt all the time. No one liked a wedgie and if you didn't think wearing a thong was like that, you were absolutely crazy. Kendall obviously was. "It's a sling shot," she snorted, trying not to smirk too much. While she loved Kendall dearly, she hated some of the choices in clothing that she made, especially like those. When Erika went on and said that she wanted Thai, placing her order, Jordyn nodded and pulled out her cell. Calling in their orders, she got off the phone after five minutes and glanced over. "Food'll be here in about thirty," she said, getting up to go get her wallet from their bedroom. Sharing a room with Erika had never been a problem for Jordyn since they had known each other from the time they were little kids. The only time they ever fought was for bathroom time, which had been worked out recently to a schedule for showers and for putting on makeup in the mornings. Coming out of the room a minute later with her wallet in hand, she flopped down on the couch again. "I swear it's been one of those days...I've been the most indecisive person ever."

"days?" erika teased with a grin. though it was true- jordyn was horrible at decision making. tell her to choose between a gatorade and a powerade and the decision would plague her for twenty minutes. she loved jordyn, but sometimes... erika folded a pair of dance capris that belonged to herself. setting them in her pile, she grabbed some pink thing out of the basket and tossed it at jordyn's head. "here, make yourself useful."

Glaring at Erika as she teased Jordyn about her indecisiveness, she shook her head and laughed, knowing that her best friend was right. Jordyn was just about the most indecisive person in the world about anything and everything. It took her thirty minutes to decide what to wear in the mornings to school and even longer to decide on an outfit if they were going out, which was usually why it turned into an all day affair if they wanted to go to a club at night. She laughed and caught a pink shirt that came flying at her head as Erika told her to make herself useful. "I never knew someone could have so much pink in their wardrobe," she said as she folded the shirt. "Seriously, I think that if I ever wore this, my Mama would have a heart attack." She knew that it was likely Kendall's since she hadn't seen it among Erika's things and it sure as hell wasn't her own since she hated anything and everything pink, unless you counted Victoria's Secret stuff. That was the only pink she would ever tolerate in her room or wardrobe.
