so tell us about yourself
i was born in edgewood, florida september 25th. i know, florida right, that’s not something you hear very often around here… well, it is, but that’s not the point i’m trying to make. everyone is always fighting about where they’re from in manhattan, and i don’t know, i just don’t get it, you’re all from the same city, you’re all rich. get over yourselves and go grab a coffee or something. anyways, i moved from edgewood to here to go to school, obviously, because it’s the place to be if you’re in the preforming arts, right? my sister also goes to mcoa, you may know her, her name’s emily. and if you’re unsure about knowing her, you probably still know her – blond hair like me, kinda crazy (or at least that’s what i tell her).
so, why mcoa and not any other of new york’s finest schools?
as i said, my sister goes here, so she’s was influential about my going here, but when i applied, i applied to all the schools – marrymount, julliard, you name it, i applied. but when i got in here, i was ecstatic. this school has been home to some of the finest actors and dancers over the last few years, it’d be a shame to of turned them down – did you know that mcoa is more selective than julliard? of course you did, why am i bringing this up to you.
what is your current long term goal?
i want to be a dancer. i don’t exactly have a fixed end point, but i’ve known that’s what i’ve wanted to with my life ever since i took my first dance class when i was about 13. i wouldn’t be too upset if the new york city ballet came to me at the end of my schooling and asked me to join them, in fact, that would be about the best thing to happen to any dancer.
would you consider yourself straight, gay, bi, or something else? why?
oh, i was waiting for this one. just because i said i am a dancer does not mean i’m gay, okay? so you and everybody else in the world can stop asking. i’m pretty sure that stereotype died years ago. i’ve always identified myself as being straight, but for some reason drunk!me always ends up kissing a guy and ruining all the headway i’ve made for myself. like, i’m sorry i like to have a bit too much fun. i don’t know though, as i said, i’ve always said i was straight, but in the end, i’m going to fall in love with whoever i do, right?
how old were you when you first got drunk? what was the experience like?
i think i was like… fifteen, and emily was seventeen? maybe, i don’t know. she was a senior in high school, which would of made me a sophomore, but anyways, our parents went out of town for the weekend so we had this massive party at our place, which in hindsight may not of been the best idea but whatever. i don’t remember much… but i remember my head wanting to explode the next day as emily and i ran around the house trying to clean up before mom and dad showed up. i’m also assuming that’s when more gay rumors started because coincidentally there were photos of on facebook.
