THEATRE KID & RESIDENT OVERACHIVER[/color][/font][/center]
this is stratton balzaretti, but please, call him strat. raised in spain, strat was born to an italian father and an english mother. his relationship with his father is a little complicated. growing up, strat was that one kid in class who had great grades, was well-rounded--basically, if he were in american schools, he'd be going to harvard. from a young age strat expressed interest in other cultures and languages, so his father pushed the idea of working as an ambassador for the UN and for high marks. the thing was, strat's passion and one true love was performance. he was always singing and dancing and absolutely loved acting. still, his father thought that majoring in theatre was useless. there was no guarantee strat would ever have a job, and how was he to raise a family without a job? so the plan was to major in international relations and minor in a language. by the time he was a senior, he was fluent in english and italian (from his parents) and also spoke french, german, and chinese. add his native tongue spanish and he speaks six languages. but something was missing. it wasn't until his 11th year musical that he realized he needed to perform for the rest of his life. he talked to his mother, an artist, about it and she encouraged him to go after his dreams. his father didn't approve though. it took a lot of convincing and a scholarship or two, but strat was sent off to the manhattan conservatory of the arts. his father still doesn't approve and doesn't talk to him except on holidays, but strat is happy and ready to learn.
friends. strat's an overall nice kid. he's polite, friendly, and a total sweetheart. he'll have a good amount of friends.
enemies. i can see people not liking him. he can be very overbearing at times and is quite the perfectionist. a lot of people might also think he's that weird kid in class who's holed up in his dorm all day studying because he is--he still has that overachiever attitude left over from wanting to work for the UN and please his father (though he'll never admit it).
romance. strat's had girlfriends in the past, but nothing was serious. he might be interested in a few people but too shy to act on it.
