"hello! my name is deborah chanel patterson and i am twenty years old. i know what you are thinking, why does this girl go by daisy? how the hell did she get that from deborah? well, i didn't. honestly i don't really like my first name all that much. it's a family name so, you know, i deal with it. most people with the name deborah would probably go by deb or even worse, debby. but, ugh, who wants to have a name that's the same as a treats company? so, i go by daisy and i have since i was five and old enough to decide that i didn't like the name deborah. anyways, i'm a junior at mca, an acting major. i absolutely love it because acting is my passion. but lately i've been finding that i am really in to costume design as well. luckily the professors are really cool and let me help with that for all the productions this place puts on. i've really found that i love designing and making costumes. so, that's something i want to pursue as well."
tell us about your family.
"oh goodness. this could take awhile. well, i'm originally from los angeles, california and i'm the youngest of four. and when i say youngest, i don't just mean by a few years or anything. no, my eldest brother is eighteen years older than me and my next closest sibling is twelve years older than me. obviously i was a surprise. my father is daniel patterson, sr. he's a director of pretty high prestique. to put it to you this way, his best friends are jj abrams and steven speilberg. yeah. and my mother is a former model. she use to travel all over the world for shows and what not. but then she got married and had four kids. i mean, there is no doubt that she is still totally gorgeous but she doesn't model anymore. to tell you the truth though, the most i know about my parents is the best ways to piss them off. from the minute i was born, i was handed off to nannies. my parents were kind of over the whole 'raising kids' thing by the time i came along. i spent most of middle and high school getting in to trouble trying to get their attention. butter it never worked. my oldest brother honestly acted more like my father than my parents. i have since outgrown that rebellious phase. which makes my brother dan happy. and really Im.glad to please dan because i love him more than anyone."
if your friends were to describe you in five words, what would they be?
"honestly? ummm...hyper, bubbly, perfectionist, insecure, helpful."
what do you like to do in your spare time?
"well im an acting major but in the last few years I've found i really love costume design as well. last year i left mca because my brother was hit in a soccer accident (his former profession). i went home to take care of him. after his accident dan took up directing like our dad. he was assisting on a set and got me an internship with the costumer. i learned a lot and found that i love it so much. so i costume in my spare time."
do you have a guy in your life?
"no. well, yes. kind of. there is this guy and Im totally in love with him. buy i kind of left for la right after i told him i love him. and then i convinced myself that he didn't really love me back and it all just kind of fell apart. but Im still head over heel for him. not that i really like to admit that. mostly because Im still convinced that he doesn't really love me. even if he thinks he does."
